June 3-9: Eastern Oregon Livestock Show
Raising livestock and competing in rodeo competitions are an important part of the culture in Eastern Oregon. Union’s annual rodeo and livestock show is the longest continually-running rodeo in the Northwest, and takes place the first full week in June.
Kids from 4-H and FFA clubs show and sell their livestock. Cowboys, riders, and ropers compete in PRCA Rodeo, with bull and bronc riding, parimutuel racing, barrel racing, and other traditional rodeo contests.
Great food, souvenir vendors, old-fashioned carnival, and evening dances, kids of all ages (1 day to 100+) enjoy a week’s worth of fun.
